Yakima, WA- RCDR Business Resources & Training Center and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Yakima County will be hosting a Business Tax educational seminar for new/emerging small businesses or entrepreneurs that need a refresher on state and federal reporting requirements.

Yakima, WA- El Centro de Recursos y Asesoría para Negocios de RCDR y la Cámara de Comercio Hispana del Condado de Yakima estarán patrocinando un taller sobre Impuestos de Negocios. Comerciantes o personas que quieren principiar un negocio pueden participar. En este taller aprenderán sobre reportes estatales y federales.

Participant will learn how to fill out Forms from the Dept of Revenue, Dept of Employment Security, Dept of Labor & Industries (L&I) and the Internal Revenue Services (IRS). They will learn what deductions employers & employees need and how they are calculated.

Pre-registration is required & fee of $25 per person must be paid.

Attorney Snyder Steps Up to Board !

Yakima, WA- Scott Snyder a local attorney was appointed to the Rural Community Development Resources Board of Directors last week. Board member Cristina Klatovsky commented, “When we heard Scott would be interested in serving on the board, I wasted no time in inviting him to the final strategic planning session. He fit in perfectly and will be a great asset to the organization.”

 

Scott Snyder is an attorney at Larson Berg & Perkins PLLC. His current practice focus is on business and estate planning, as well as consulting on international business transactions. Scott is multilingual with a native-level proficiency in Spanish.

 

Mr. Snyder was a panelist for the Small Farms Conference held in February. The community based organization seeks to economically empower low/moderate income entrepreneurs by providing business assistance and educational workshops. Once they are vetted, they can qualify for a direct loan from the Community Loan Fund, which will create jobs in the community. Economic development projects are promoted that help improve the quality of life for young people and create safer neighborhoods.

Requirements: Minimum an AA degree in administration business, finance or accounting, and/or equivalent experience for at least 2 years. Bilingual Eng-Span preferred. Travel required. Self motivated, computer literate & have good writing & excellent organizational skills.

 

Responsibilities: Provide TA to entrepreneurs by doing clerical & office tasks to generate inquiries to qualify for microloans; maintain files updated, input data & some reporting duties.
